I have been wanting a dirt bike for a long time, but my parents say “too expensive and dangerous, and no place to ride”. What should I do? This is the dirt bike I want.

Any suggestions?

You should listen to your parents if they don’t have the funds they can’t do it. They also care for your health. If you are 10-15yrs old or younger i suggest you to wait till your 16 and get a L badge and go to work and earn money and till you have the money and a P badge you can go and buy and ride whenever you want. Respect your parents.

Q&A: Triumph street triple a good bike…?

Question by niceguy: Triumph street triple a good bike…?
So i asked about the Ducati monster and it seems like a solid bike, however I was also looking at the Street Triple 675, I heard its an awesome bike. I ride a Vulcan 800 right now and want something with go, I don’t want to downgrade as far as power. Since my bike is a cruiser I am looking to get a more standard or naked bike. I heard the Street triple almost has the speed of the Daytona? what do you guys think about the bike??? thanks

Yamaha vs Kawasaki vs Ducati vs Triumph vs Aprilia vs Honda vs Suzuki?

Question by : Yamaha vs Kawasaki vs Ducati vs Triumph vs Aprilia vs Honda vs Suzuki?
I want to start riding a bike and i have already ridden a ninja 250r for 2 months and im tired of it. I want something a little bigger and more powerful and that still looks sexy. I was into the daytona 675 but then it was too expensive so i thought the r6 was good but then someone told me they only count most at high speeds and arent comfortable. So can someone give me the pros and cons of all these bikes in the 600rr section please. Thanks in Advance

I was at the Suzuki/Kawasaki shop today, and saw the Ninja 500 on the showroom floor for a relatively low price. You may want to try looking at that one. Or just shop around at some of the motorcycle places in your town.

What would be a good 50cc motorbike to get when I’m 16?

Question by : What would be a good 50cc motorbike to get when I’m 16?
I was thinking maybe an Aprilia RX 50, but I’m not an expert by any means.
I am 6′ 4″. I would like one that is not too expensive.
Thanks.

Answer by Nathan T
16 years old and at 6′ 4″…..you’ll outgrow such a small machine in short order. I would advise in taking a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Course and get use to riding a minimum 125cc to 250cc machine.

What Kind of Motorcycle should I buy; Sportbike Or Harley?

Question by supersport280: What Kind of Motorcycle should I buy; Sportbike Or Harley?
I am undecided in purchasing a motorcycle. I have some experience on the dirt, i owned a kawasaki KDX 220R 2 stroke enduro machine. I am looking for a roadbike, I like sportbikes and harleys. I just don’t know whats a good begginer motorcycle to start off with. I like the triumph Daytona 675′s and CBR 600RR’s also like the Harley Sporsters. Just don’t know whats a good choice for a good begginer bike.

Q&A: Trouble starting my motorcycle?

Question by : Trouble starting my motorcycle?
Here is my story, any help would be much appreciated. So I bought a new bike, a 2008 Triumph Daytona 675. I had it about 10 days before I left the country for 6 weeks, during which time I had my dad start it up for me at least once a week but it was not ridden during this time. I got back, and everything seemed fine. I went to lunch with some friends, and after I could not get my bike to start. It sounded like the battery was just dead. What I thought might have happened was that the stem-lock features on these bikes have an additional key position, that not only locks the stem but also leaves the light on. I am not sure if this is what happened, but certainly a possibility I suppose. So then I push started it and got it running, only to have it die less than a mile. At this point I dropped it off at a nearby friends house and left it on the trickle charger for a couple hours. It then started up no problem and I rode it open. I turned the bike off to open the garage, and it did not have enough juice to restart to pull in to the garage. Again I left the bike on the charger for 8 hours and it rode fine. I took a trip with a couple stops around town, powering off the engine and it still started, but by the time I got home it sounded weak again. For me it sounded like a battery issue…weeks of not getting ridden, and I am not sure how new this battery was when I got the bike either. I took it to an auto parts store that told me the battery was running fine at 12.75v. I am not sure if this is because the battery had been on the charger, and although I had ridden the bike once with it since charging it, it might have had some juice left or something. So the shop tells me my battery is fine, which I guess brings me to my ultimate question: what could be causing this issue? I thought about the stator and a couple other things, but my problem always seems to resolve itself after the battery sits on the charger for a bit. Thank you all for any help or opinions. Happy riding, and happy New Year.

Your battery is poop.
Sorry time for a new one. Make sure you fully charge the new one for the time and amperage labeled on the battery.
