Question by nenufar: I’m thinking about buying a scooter, can somebody answer some questions for me?
Might sell my car and get a Honda PCX. I’m doing some research, and I just want to know:

1- How often does oil need to be added to keep a four-stroke 125cc engine from seizing up?
2- What kind of APR can I expect to get with new/short credit history (Like, 3 months) and about $ 1500-$ 2000 down on a $ 3399 scooter? If need be, I think I can manage to put more down.
3- How much do they usually run in upkeep (Maintenance, parts, etc) with about 350-400 miles being put on each month?
Thanks, Deckard2002, but I’m really just looking for a scooter, not a motorcycle. I picked the PCX because of how it looks, as well, and I won’t be doing any freeway travel, so I don’t need anything that goes over 60mph. And every site I’ve been to lists the MSRP as $ 3399. I know there are extra fees and such tacked on after that, but I’ve anticipated it.

Best answer:

Answer by Deckard2020
shop around a bit. The PCX is $ 3600. There are a lot of good used vulcan 500s and vstar 650s for the same price.

Question by : Aprilia RS50 vs Derbi GPR50R with 80cc Polini kit?
Please someone compare the specs and tell me which one of these is best to buy?

I have a full license and I am going to do up a 50.

First thing I will do is put a polini 80cc kit on it, I know that on a GPR50R the bike will do 85mph with one on, there is video evidence on youtube.

I can’t find a videos for the rs50 even though its more popular with the 80cc kit on.

So which one will go faster with 80cc kit, Derbi GPR50R or the Aprilia RS50

Someone with knowledge or has a rs50 or compares the specs give me a answer thanks?

Best answer:

Answer by Wiggysan
If you have a full licence, dont bother. Waste of money. You will get bored of it as quickly as you did the 50.

Get an RS 125, Mito 125 or the new CBR / ZXr 250 four strokes machine.

You will not look back.

Question by bmps3gamer: kawasaki klx140l help!!!!!!!?
i wont to buy a kawasaki klx140l im 13 about 5.6 tall, 50 kilos. i own a honda xr100 at the moment but havnt rode it much. the klx only has electric start is the electric start reliable???? how long does the battery last for???? i am gonna be ridin trails and around farms, no racing, maybe little jumps. if you have any other bikes that would be good please tell me, im not a pro rider so nothing thats gonna absoultly fly lol chears ben

Best answer:

Answer by pap
The KLX 140 is too much for a kid your age & size. The XR 100 is good enough for you. Stick with it for a year or two. Electric start on modern bikes is pretty reliable. Hard to say how long a battery will last. You may get one that doesn’t last a year or you may get one that lasts four years.

I’ve been trail riding in Northern Michigan for 34 years. I began trail riding when I was 6 years old. I raced Enduros and Hare Scrambles for 12 years. I competed in the International Six Days Enduro twice. I know what I am talking about. I say you are not quite ready for a KLX 140 and you should stick with the XR 100 for a while.

Question by : my aprilia rs125 wont start sometimes!?
Hello, Basiclly My Aprilia rs125 Has had an engine rebuilt and i have gone atleast 350m miles with it since i had bought it from the private previous seller i have had it for a few days and whenever it is cold it would not start up at all… and also when the petrol runs out we have to jump start the bike for it to start up, sometimes it turns on perfectly but it can never maintain stayin on without revving the bike so if im at traffic lights and in first gear i have to keep revving or it will stall. sometimes in neutral i dont have to rev it but sometimes i do for it to stay on also the about the fuel tap it has to be upside down for it to work if i put it the correct way round it wont turn on i think not enough petrol is going through the tank how can i fix my problem ?

Best answer:

Answer by ashrar h
If ur bike have a choke, use it while starting.always rev up ur engine before u stop it.

Question by Jimmy G: Safe for a Honda Rebel 250 on the interstate?
Just wondering if it would be safe. Im driving 90 miles up into Chicago from I-80 to I-55 to I-294. Or should I stick to the back roads? Route 6 to 52 to 45? Itll take twice as long though.
Mad Jack: Its called a 250 but yes it is actually 234cc. My bike has no vibration at high speeds so it might not be an issue. Ive had it up to 80mph.

Best answer:

Answer by Mad Jack
I thought the Rebel was a 234, not a 250.

It will most likely make it. You will be running nearly wide open to maintain 70 MPH. The drone and vibration of the little engine buzzing along at this speed may get annoying after a while.

If you live near an Interstate try this first. Take the bike out and only go up an exit or 2, preferably on a stretch with a 70 MPH speed limit. This way you know what it will do under these conditions.
