Question by Leon: HELP – what budget 50cc enduro/motorcross/supermotard bikes are there?
i’ve been looking into motorbikes/mopeds a little bit as i have just turned 16, and i want to get one that is styled to that of the question. I have tops £400-£500 because i can’t get anywork/funding atm. the models i’ve been looking at were aprilia mx/rx, derbi senda’s and cpi 50′s. No real luck getting a newer model obviously.

does anyone know any cheap bikes in the style i want? or could i buy a 1999 aprilia rx/derbi senda say and change the horrible body plates it comes with to something more modern, or would that not fit? or any other cunning plans?

any answers would be appreciated – but please don’t give me a lecture on how dangerous motorbikes are, i don’t want one (:

With your limited budget you will need to get a older bike. I can recommend anything made by:
* Aprilia
* Honda
* Derbi
* Gilera
* Suzuki
* Yamaha
* Italjet
* Vespa
* Motorhispania
* Peugeot

To get a good bike you would have to pay 400-500£, and body kits are often very expensive,
meaning that you will not be able to afford it. Also take in consideration that the bike needs gas, registration and insurance fee’s.

Particular bikes I can recommend, which I have driven and I am very happy with:
* Suzuki TSX/RMX/SMX
* Derbi Senda
* Aprilia MX/SX
* Motorhispania Furia/RYZ
* Yamaha DT 50
* Gilera SMT
