Question by Sam W: Drestrict reed cage?
Ok so. i know how to derestrict my reed cage on my aprilia rx 50.
i have derestrcited the exhasut and plan to the the reed cage later on this week.
will i have to upjet the carb ?
or will i be able to do the reed cage and then just ride the bike?

ride it and do a plug chop.eg flat pull clutch kill motor,read plug.should rev clean to redline ,careful to watch for overheating ,if it gets hot richen main jet

I’m not real familiar with restricted engines or your bike, but know that many 2 stroke engines use reed valves in the intake tract at the crankcase and it has nothing to do with reducing power. In fact, quite the opposite and they make the bike much more ridable. Make sure you know what you’re doing before removing them.
