I leave in Greece and both used bikes cost about the same. I could use an explanation for each of your opinions. My main focus on buying any bike would be the lowest possible maintenance cost and general reliability and longevity. Thank you in advance!

I have never owned an Aprilia, but I do own another Piaggio Group product, and it is a pile of junk. In terms of reliability and longevity and maintenance, I suspect the Kawasaki would be the winner by the length of a marathon!

When in Rome do as the Romans do, ride Aprilla.
When in Greece do as anyone smarter than an Aprilla rider would do!

The pegaso uses the same Rotax power plant that appeared in the first BMW F650 singles. The engine, at least, is quite robust, and more powerful than the KLR. You can expect it to be smoother on the highway, while getting better fuel economy. However, it will not be the equal of the KLR off-road, which is to say, it isn’t really very good at all. The KLR is not that great either, but there is a lot of suspension performance to be had in the after-market.
I don’t really know what riding conditions you encounter, but unless you have two actual examples from which to choose, I think you may be asking the wrong question. The right question is: should you buy the DR650SE or the KTM 640A?
